Company Policy and warranty information

Craftsmanship & Process

Anchor Stitch Upholstery is a craft‑driven, hands‑on workshop. Every project is completed with care, attention to detail, and respect for the story behind each piece. Because upholstery is manual labor and artistry, timelines can vary. We do not provide guaranteed completion dates. All timeframes discussed are estimates only. Project deadlines can be requested and Anchor stitch crew does their best to meet them within possible time. 


Estimates & Approvals

  • Estimates are based on the information available at the time of quoting.
  • Any structural issues, hidden damage, or additional labor discovered during teardown will be communicated before work continues.
  • All fabric selections, design decisions, and changes must be approved before a project is scheduled unless discussed with management during upholstery process.


Customer’s Own Material (COM)

Customers may choose to supply their own fabric or materials. When doing so, the following conditions apply:

  • Anchor Stitch Upholstery does not guarantee the performance, durability, cleanability, or suitability of COM fabrics.
  • No official warranty is offered on workmanship when COM is used, as fabric flaws, stretch, weave inconsistencies, or manufacturing defects can directly affect the final result.
  • Any additional labor required due to COM issues (pattern flaws, shortages, backing needs, directional repeats, etc.) will be billed accordingly.
  • If the COM fabric fails during or after upholstery, Anchor Stitch is not responsible for replacement costs, labor, or damages.


Fabric Purchased Through Anchor Stitch

Fabric purchased through Anchor Stitch is covered under the manufacturer’s warranty (when applicable). We guarantee our workmanship for 30 days when using materials sourced through us.

 

Workmanship Guarantee

Anchor Stitch Upholstery stands behind the quality of our craftsmanship. We offer a 30‑day workmanship guarantee on projects completed using materials purchased through Anchor Stitch.

  • This guarantee covers issues directly related to workmanship, such as loose stitching, improper padding placement, or structural upholstery errors.
  • The guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, pets, spills, environmental exposure, or normal wear.
  • When Customer’s Own Material (COM) is used, no workmanship guarantee applies, as fabric quality and behavior are outside our control.
  • After the initial 30‑day period, Anchor Stitch may, at the company’s discretion, offer additional support or repairs on a case‑by‑case basis. Any discretionary repairs may include labor or material charges depending on the situation.


Payments & Deposits

  • A deposit is required to secure a place on the schedule.
  • Final payment is due at pickup or delivery.
  • Completed pieces not picked up within 30 days may incur storage fees.


Cancellations

Cancellations made after materials have been ordered or work has begun may result in forfeiture of the deposit and reimbursement for any materials purchased.


Pickup & Delivery

Pickup and delivery services are available upon request. Fees vary based on distance, size, and complexity. See our pickup and delivery policies page for further information. 

 

Safety & Customer Injuries on Premises

Anchor Stitch Upholstery is an active workshop environment with tools, equipment, and materials in use throughout the day. For the safety of all visitors:

  • Customers entering the workshop do so at their own risk.
  • Children must remain with an adult at all times.
  • Customers are not permitted to enter work areas, operate equipment, or handle tools or materials unless expressly invited by staff.
  • Anchor Stitch Upholstery is not liable for injuries, accidents, or property damage that occur on the premises due to unsafe footwear, failure to follow posted or verbal safety instructions, or entering restricted areas.
  • Any spills, hazards, or concerns should be reported immediately so staff can address them.


Photography & Portfolio Use

Anchor Stitch Upholstery reserves the right to photograph completed work for use in our portfolio, social media, and marketing materials. Client names and personal information are never shared.
