Pickup & Delivery Policy (Expanded)
Anchor Stitch Upholstery offers pickup and delivery services as a convenience to our customers. Because furniture varies widely in size, weight, and condition, the following policies apply:
Scheduling
- Pickup and delivery appointments are scheduled based on availability and route planning.
- Time windows are estimates; delays may occur due to traffic, weather, or prior appointments running long.
- Customers may request to receive a confirmation message prior to arrival and truck crew will do their best to adhere to request (subject to crew member phone service signal, etc)
Access Requirements
To ensure safe and efficient handling:
- Customers must ensure clear pathways, including stairs, hallways, porches, and entryways.
- Anchor Stitch staff may decline to move furniture if the path is unsafe, obstructed, or risks damage to the home or the piece.
- Pets need to be secured in a safe location.
- Small children should remain at safe distance clear from path.
- If additional labor or time is required due to access challenges (tight corners, second floors, disassembly, etc.), additional charges may apply.
Liability During Transport
- Anchor Stitch Upholstery handles all pieces with care during loading, transport, and unloading.
- We are not responsible for pre‑existing damage, structural weaknesses, or instability discovered during handling.
- Minor scuffs or marks on walls, floors, or doorframes may occur when moving large or heavy items; Anchor Stitch is not liable for home damage resulting from necessary maneuvering.
Customer Absence
- If the customer is not present during the scheduled window and no prior arrangements have been made, a missed‑appointment fee may be charged.
- Rescheduling is subject to availability.
Delivery of Completed Items
- Final payment must be made before or at the time of delivery.
- Customers are responsible for inspecting the piece at delivery. Concerns must be communicated immediately so they can be addressed.
Storage Fees
- Completed items not delivered or picked up from our facility within 30 days of notification may incur daily storage fees.
- After 90 days without communication, Anchor Stitch reserves the right to take further action, including resale, donation, or disposal, to recover costs.
